OnTrend
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how OnTrend
(“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use
the OnTrend mobile application (the “App”) for Android and iOS
(package / bundle identifier: com.ontrend.application).
Questions about this policy or your data? Contact us at maxim.horbenko@ukr.net.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the App, we may collect:
- Account information — name, email address, phone number, and password (or credentials from sign-in providers if you use them).
- Profile and content you provide — profile photo, posts, news, events, company details, feed items, and other text or images you upload.
- Location-related data — city preference you select, and map addresses you choose when adding places or events (via Google Maps). We do not continuously track your GPS background location for advertising.
- Device and push data — push notification token and platform (e.g. Android / iOS) so we can send notifications you enable.
- Usage analytics — an anonymous client identifier stored on your device, plus events such as app install, daily active use, and in-app interaction metrics used for product and reporting purposes.
- Purchase information — if you buy in-app subscriptions (for example company plans), payment is processed by Apple or Google; we receive purchase/status information needed to unlock features, not your full payment card details.
- Local preferences — settings such as theme, selected city, and session tokens stored on your device (e.g. via Shared Preferences).
2. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Create and manage your account and authenticate you
- Provide App features (feed, events, places, companies, radio, weather, support, etc.)
- Display content and maps you request
- Send push notifications related to the App
- Process and validate in-app purchases
- Measure App usage and improve reliability and features
- Respond to support requests and protect against abuse or fraud
3. Legal bases (where applicable)
Where required by law (for example GDPR), we process personal data based on: performance of a contract (providing the App), your consent (where requested), and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the App.
4. Sharing of information
We may share information with:
- Service providers that help us run the App, such as hosting, Firebase (authentication / messaging), Google Maps, Apple, and Google Play for sign-in or purchases where used.
- Other users — content you publish in the App (for example posts, events, company pages, and profile details you make public) may be visible to others.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Third-party services
The App may use third-party services that process data under their own policies, including (as applicable):
- Google Firebase (Auth / Cloud Messaging)
- Google Maps Platform
- Google Play Billing / Apple In-App Purchase
- Sign in with Google / Sign in with Apple (if enabled)
Please review those providers’ privacy policies for more detail about their practices.
6. Data retention
We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. Analytics identifiers and logs may be kept for a limited period for reporting and security. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data (see Contact below), subject to legal retention obligations.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong password and keep your device secure.
8. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or update your personal data
- Request deletion of your account or personal data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
To exercise these rights, email maxim.horbenko@ukr.net.
10. International transfers
Your information may be processed on servers in countries other than your own (for example where our hosting or Firebase / Google services operate). Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
